Improving Nebraska and its Natural Resources One Acre at a Time!
Ken Werner ~ Lincoln Creek PF
The Lincoln Creek PF chapter was formed in 1991. Ken has been on the committee since it was formed and the chapter President for 9 years since 1997.
Ken developed a love of hunting and the outdoors growing up on a farm near Polk, Nebraska.
Ken and his wife Parma raised a son, Scott, and a daughter, Mickie, and have three grandsons. After 30 years working for Bonnivilla Homes Ken retired almost 10 years ago. Fishing, hunting, and enjoying the many activities their grandsons are involved in, keep Ken and Parma busy in their “retirement.”
Ken’s chapter has spent over $284,000 on 990 habitat projects (32,567 total acres) and 5 Youth Mentor Hunt events (63 boys and girls) since 1991.
The chapter supports a number statewide habitat programs including Corners For Wildlife, CRP-MAP, and the State Habitat Raffle.
There are certain PF volunteers that, if possible, you would make a bunch of copies of them and put one on every PF committee. Ken is certainly that type of volunteer. His excitement and dedication to Pheasants Forever makes him a true PF Hero.
