
Improving Nebraska and its Natural Resources One Acre at a Time!
Mark Mazour ~ High Plains PF
· The High Plains chapter in Sidney was formed in 1990. Mark has served as the chapter's President for the last two years, and he has been a chapter volunteer since 2000.
· Mark's passion for passing on the hunting heritage to area youth was the driving force behind his involvement with the local PF chapter.
· Mark helped develop the High Plains chapter's first youth mentor program in 2001. Since that time, the chapter has conducted six youth mentor hunt events for 71 local boys and girls.
· Mark's chapter has spent over $330,881 on 1,331 habitat projects (28,722 total acres) since 1990.
· In his spare time, Mark enjoys traveling the country in pursuit of various species of game and camping with his family.
· Mark's chapter consistently leads the state in the number of trees and shrubs planted per year. They are also one of the top chapters (out of 700) in the country in the number of trees and shrubs planted per year.
· Mark's chapter supports a number of state-wide habitat programs including Corners for Wildlife, CRP-MAP, Tall Wheat Stubble Program, and the State Habitat Raffle.
· Mark resides in Sidney with his wife Lottie and lab buck. Mark and his wife are outstanding volunteers who somehow find time out of their busy schedules to help improve Nebraska's natural resources. Mark has been a difference maker in improving the efficiency of his local chapter.
