                           Heather Francis  Thad Murren-Elkhorn Valley PF

·    Started in 1986, the Elkhorn Valley PF chapter was the first PF chapter formed in Nebraska.  Thad has been on the chapter Board of Directors for the past 8 years, serving as chapter President for the past 5 years.

·        Thad and his wife of 13 years, Deb, have two young daughters, Mackenzie and Morgan and live in Norfolk, NE.

·         Thad owns and operates, Western Roofing, a commercial roofing company in Norfolk.

·         Thad was introduced to hunting by his father and grandfather at the age of 13.  Hunting has been a passion of Thad’s ever since.

·         In addition to being the Elkhorn Valley PF chapter President, Thad is currently serving a term as a District Representative on the Nebraska PF/QF State Council.

·        Since the Elkhorn Valley PF chapter was formed it has raised and spent over $1 Million on habitat development, youth education, and equipment.

·         Since 1986 the Elkhorn Valley PF chapter has completed over 4,100 projects planting, maintaining, or improving 143,775 Acres of wildlife habitat.

·         The Elkhorn Valley chapter has held 11 Youth Mentor Hunt Events for 248 youth in the Madison, Stanton, and Pierce County area.

·     Thad volunteers with PF because he believes in what PF does and is proud of the habitat and educational accomplishments that his chapter and all of Nebraska’s PF chapters.

·     Thad is highly dedicated to his local chapter and the entire Pheasants Forever team.  His excitement, leadership, and dedication make him a key player at the chapter and state level of PF.  He is truly a PF Hero.
