Rodger Prachiel and Tom Menze-Corn
Country PF
· Both Rodger and Tom have been involved with the Corn Country PF chapter since the chapter was formed on October 22, 1992.
· Tom has been the chapter Treasurer since the chapter started, and Rodger served as the chapter President for the first 12 years and now serves as the chapter’s Habitat Committee Chair.
· Tom and his wife of 30 years, Peg, own and operate an auto body repair shop in York.
· Tom grew up in the Staplehurst area hunting and fishing with family and friends.
· Rodger and his wife Julie have been married for 33 years. They’ve raised two sons, James who is married to Tiffany, and Christopher who is married to Brenda. They have 1 grandson, Simon, and another grandchild on the way.
· Rodger grew up near McCool Junction and developed a love of hunting while spending time in the field with his Dad and Granddad.
· Both Rodger and Tom were key to the formation of the Corn Country chapter and have been leaders and promoters of the chapter and Pheasants Forever from day one.
· Since 1993 the Corn Country chapter was formed the chapter has created, improved, or maintained over 22,230 acres of pheasant and other wildlife habitat on over 600 projects.
· The Corn Country chapter has held 5 Youth Mentor Hunts for over 70 York County area youth. Both Rodger and Tom have served as mentors at these Youth Mentor Hunts.
· The chapter has raised and spent over $250,000 on habitat, education, and equipment since 1993.
· Tom and Rodger annually take a couple of out-of-state hunting trips to South Dakota.
· The leadership of both Tom Menze and Rodger Pracheil has helped the Corn Country PF chapter to continue its successful habitat and education programs.
· Both Tom and Rodger are dedicated to the mission of Pheasants Forever. They have worked tirelessly to make the Corn Country PF chapter grow and become one of the best chapters in Nebraska. Their dedication, support, and promotion of PF and their enthusiasm for habitat and hunting make them true PF Hero’s.
