Butler County Hunters Invited to an Important Meeting for Wildlife

Butler County residents, there is an exciting opportunity to help pheasant numbers in your area!  We would like you to be part of a Pheasants Forever (PF). Our primary mission is to conserve and enhance pheasants, quail, and other wildlife populations through habitat restoration.

With your help, Pheasants Forever can improve critical wildlife habitat in Butler County. Like some other organizations, PF chapters generate operating funds by means of an annual fundraising and membership banquet.  What makes PF unique is that the local chapter has control of 100% of the net proceeds raised by the chapter.   In short, PF gives sportsmen and other concerned conservationists an opportunity to effect their own local habitat.  Chapter habitat projects include establishment of nesting cover, brood rearing cover, and winter cover.  Chapters also organize and host youth conservation education programs and youth hunts.

Pheasants Forever wants to establish a chapter in Butler county!  We are having an informational meeting on Thursday, November 8th at 7:00 PM at the Great Plains RC&D Office, 402 5th Street (NW corner of 5th & D), David City, Nebr.

Pheasants Forever wildlife biologists will give a slide presentation about Pheasants Forever and answer questions regarding PF, pheasant & quail habitat, and forming a local chapter.  Please plan on attending.  We look forward to seeing you on the 8th.

If you have any questions please contact Keith Brus, PF Regional Wildlife Biologist at keith@NebraskaPF.com or at 308-754-4815.
