Gun-A-Week V Ticket Sales Ending Soon

Ticket sales for Gun-A-Week V will be ending in the next 10 days.  You don’t miss your chance to support Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s efforts to promote youth hunting and habitat development by purchasing a chance to win 104 guns!  There will only be 2,500 tickets sold and every ticket will be entered into 104 separate drawings for over $86,500 worth of Browning and Winchester firearms.  Tickets are only $50.00 each and they are selling fast.  PF/QF will award two guns a week for an entire year.  You can purchase a ticket by contacting your local PF or QF volunteer or by calling the PF State Office at 308-754-5339.

 When you purchase a Gun-A-Week V ticket you are not only buying a great raffle ticket, you will also be supporting Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever accomplish our mission of habitat development and conservation education.   Here are just a few things the Gun-A-Week raffle supports in Nebraska:

·        Youth Mentor Hunts – Approximately 1,000 Nebraska boys and girls will participate in a PF or QF chapter sponsored Youth Mentor Hunt in 2007.  These participants will be introduced to several different aspects of hunting and they will be taken on an actual pheasant hunt.  Every Youth Mentor Hunt Graduate will receive a Boyt hunting vest that they will be able to wear for years to come.

·        Habitat Central at Husker Harvest Days – PF & QF sponsor a Landowner Help Desk each year at Husker Harvest Days.  Landowners from across the state can get advice from wildlife biologists on how to best improve their land for pheasants and quail.  Hundreds of landowners have come to Habitat Central during the past three years and thousands of habitat have been improved in the process.

·        CRP-MAP – Habitat improvements on CRP-MAP are made possible because of funding from PF and QF.  Working with great partners like the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, PF and QF have been able to help improve everyone’s hunting success.

·        Much, much more – Since 1986 PF and QF chapters in Nebraska have created, improved, or maintained over 2 Million acres of pheasant and quail habitat.  None of these acres would be possible without your support.
