Winter Weather Causes PF Chapters to Postpone Events

The severe winter weather that hit parts of Nebraska this past weekend caused three Pheasants Forever chapters to postpone their banquets.  The Cedar River Ringnecks (Greeley & Wheeler Counties), the Southwest Nebraska PF (Chase County), and the Maple Creek PF (Colfax County) all had to reschedule their banquets because of the forecasted wind and snow.  “Winter weather is as unpredictable as a wily rooster” explained Keith Brus, Regional Wildlife Biologist “hopefully these communities will come out and support the chapters on their new banquet dates.”

  • Maple Creek PF has rescheduled their banquet for Saturday March 3rd in Howells, NE.  For more information about the Maple Creek PF banquet you can contact Jim Prusa at 402-986-1654.
  • The Southwest Nebraska PF chapter has rescheduled their banquet for Saturday March 3rd in Wauneta, NE.  For tickets or more information on the Southwest Nebraska PF banquet you can contact John Miller at 308-882-5324.
  • The Cedar River Ringnecks PF chapter has rescheduled their banquet for Sunday, March 4th in Greeley, NE.  For tickets or more information on the Cedar River Ringnecks PF banquet you can contact Shawn O’Connor at 308-428-2645.

Nebraska PF chapters will be very busy this coming weekend.  These three rescheduled banquets are sharing a weekend with three other chapter banquets around the state.  There will also be banquets in Kimball, Aurora, and Papillion on Saturday March 3rd.

Pheasants Forever needs you to attend and support a local chapter banquet near you.
