2007-2008 State Habitat Raffle Winner Announced
The drawing for the 2007-2008 State Habitat Raffle was conducted at the Lower Elkhorn Valley banquet on April 19th. The lucky winner was Matt Peterson from Lincoln, NE. Matt became one of 57 finalists at the Logan Creek PF banquet this year. Matt had his choice of a Franchi, 28 gauge O/U, a Browning Citori Super Lightning, 20 gauge O/U, Terry Redlins 25th Anniversary Print, "Sharing the Sunset", or a 7 day African Safari. After a great deal of debate, Matt has picked the Safari and is now planning a hunt of a lifetime.
The State Habitat Raffle was conducted at 57 events and grossed over $30,000 in 2007-2008! The State Habitat Raffle began in 1995 and has been conducted every year since that time. Over the past 13 years, the State Habitat Raffle has grossed over $300,000. These funds have been used to provide vests for every Youth Mentor Hunt participant in the state, grants and interest free loans to chapters, the Rooter Tales newsletter, the Husker Harvest Days building, and many other habitat and promotional activities.
