Buck Brush is commonly found on hillsides, open woods, river banks, and grassy lowlands. It is fair forage for cattle and sheep. Better for deer, elk, and pronghorn. It can spread in overgrazed pastures. Grouse and prairie chickens feed on buck brush year round. Many other wildlife speices use it for cover, escape and nesting.
