State Youth Mentor Hunt Raffle Winner Announced
On April 28th,Pheasants Forever held the State Habitat Meeting in Kearney where the NebraskaState Youth Mentor Hunt Raffle grand prize drawing was held. There were a total of 59 semi-finalists whowere entered from across the state into the grand prize drawing for a chance totake home a set of Benelli Ultra-Light Shotguns (12, 20, & 28 gauge). Pheasants/Quail Forever is pleased toannounce that Griff Latter of Minden was this years winner of theNebraska State Youth Mentor Hunt Raffle. Griff won his ticket into the grand prize drawing at the Kearney PFchapter banquet which was held last August. Pheasants Forever would like to thank eachand every person who bought a ticket for this raffle at their local banquetsacross the state this past year.
Funds raised through theState Youth Mentor Hunt raffle are used to purchase Youth Mentor Hunting vestsfor each youth participant across the state each year. Approximately 900 youth graduate from aPheasants/Quail Forever Youth Mentor Hunt events each year. Since 1996, over 10,000 youth have received afree Youth Mentor hunting vest courtesy of Pheasants Forever and the NebraskaGame and Parks Commission.

**The State Habitat Raffle was started in 1995. Raffle proceeds are used to purchase hunting vests for every youth that attends a Youth Mentor Hunt in Nebraska, print the Rooster Tales newsletter, help fund the PF/QF building at Husker Harvest Days, and many other habitat and promotional activities.
