Reload Nebraska

On Saturday, February 7th,Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever made a major announcement with theintroduction of the Reload Nebraska campaign to the state.  "ReloadNebraska will be the most significant project in years to enhanceupland game bird habitat, improve water quality, protect soil, improverural economies, and expand youth hunting opportunities," said PeteBerthelsen, Senior Field Coordinator for Pheasants Forever and QuailForever.

"This plan isnt just about increasing bird numbers, its about reloading many of Nebraskas traditions and history" he said.  Now more than ever, Nebraskas wildlife populations and habitat face significant challenges in the near future.  "Whenconfronted with increasing land values, decreasing Conservation ReserveProgram acres, decreasing numbers of hunters and a faltering economy, the need for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever has never beengreater," he said.
